   Background

When Covid ground adland to a halt in March 2020, the outlook for freelancers was especially bleak. And while it was tempting to just shut up shop, binge-watch box sets and go full Howard Hughes in our dressing gowns, we decided to make the most of our time with a proactive creative project.

 

   The Idea

We called it D&AD A DAY. And basically it involved us tackling a stack of briefs from the D&AD New Blood archives.

   The Kicker

We only gave ourselves one (1) day to work on each brief. And we posted our work every day at 5pm GMT – no matter how brilliant, blah or batshit our ideas got. 

 

   Results

  • +1445% visitors to our site

  • +1731% increase in unique visitors

  • +3051% LinkedIn profile views

  • Project led directly to a long-term booking
